Most vendors want to close the deal first.
We want to make sure the numbers work first.
That is not a positioning statement. It is the reason we built the Water Engineering Study into the front of our process before anything else happens.
What the Study Actually Is
The Water Engineering Study is a $2,500 property-specific analysis conducted by our engineers. It is not a sales pitch dressed up as a report. It is a real engineering assessment that produces a real answer: does PhantomH2O make financial sense for your building, or does it not?
The study covers three things:
1. A full property assessment covering your main meter, sub-meters, and key risk points
2. A projected water savings model built on your building's actual usage data
3. A net-zero qualification that tells you whether your monitoring cost would be fully offset by projected savings
What Happens After the Study
If the numbers work, and for most qualifying multifamily, hotel, and commercial properties they do, the $2,500 study fee credits in full toward your monitoring contract. You pay nothing extra to get started.
If the numbers do not work, we tell you upfront. You keep the analysis. No obligation to move forward.
Why We Built the Process This Way
PhantomH2O is built around a net-zero-or-better idea. The savings your building generates should offset or exceed the cost of monitoring.
The Engineering Study is how we protect both parties. It lets us show up as a transparent partner instead of a vendor chasing a commission. We are selective about the properties we work with because that selectivity is what makes the results reliable.
What This Looks Like in Practice
A 161-unit multifamily property recently completed the study.
Projected savings: $3,030 per month. Monitoring cost: $1,063 per month. Net annual savings: $23,604.
The only way to know if your building looks like that is to do the study.
The Cost of Waiting
Every month without visibility is another month of financial exposure you cannot quantify. A leak running undetected does not show up until the bill arrives. By then the money is already gone.
The Engineering Study gives you a number. That number either makes this an easy decision, or it saves you from making the wrong one.
